Visconti Four Seasons Maki-e Limited Edition Fountain Pen, 2007

VISCONTI: The Four Seasons Limited Edition Fountain Pen. This square bodied pen incorporates each of the seasons of the year in its maki-e urushi panels painted by Soukou Oshita, the fourth generation of his family to pursue this traditional Japanese art form. A beautiful fountain pen hand painted in precious Japanese lacquer using the famous Maki-e techniques. The concept was to represent a different theme on each side of the pen, developing the theme of the "Four Seasons" because such a complex subject has never been represented all at once on a single pen.  Each season is painted on a separate facet of the pen in its own characteristic color palette.
