Conway Stewart Model 100 White Casein Fountain Pen, 2006

In 1905 when Conway Stewart was started, the founders, Jarvis and Garner had a single aim, to produce elegant, timelessly beautiful, yet functional writing instruments. Today one hundred years later, we still hold to these original goals.

Their writing instruments are of a traditional, classical design that continues to stand the test of time. Their employees give exceptional care and attention who handcraft and assemble each pen in their factory in Devon, UK. The cap bands are solid 18-carat gold. Special attention was given to their nibs to ensure a smooth wet line.

From 1920 to the 1950s, Conway Stewart focused on producing quite a large percentage of their pen production out of Casein. The finishes were very popular and the designs gave fruit to an abundance of models offered in an array of vibrant colors and patterns, giving the perception of depth and opalescence to the finish.
