The Guilloche Black Edition presents with a noble all-black look: the dark precious resin barrel is framed by black, high-gloss metal parts, which are provided with a particularly resistant PVD coating of titanium and give the writing instruments depth and elegance at the same time.  The special fascination with the Graf von Faber-Castell Guilloche writing instruments is due to the combination of high-quality rhodinization and a guilloche barrel. Rhodium is a precious metal that provides an extremely rigid and hard-wearing surface and, consequently, perceptible and lasting beauty. The intricate hand-engraved guilloche pattern on the barrel forms a sophisticated contrast to the polished cap and grip zone.

The Guilloche writing instruments made of precious resin are distinguished by a special process. Each one is engraved individually using a method otherwise reserved for jewelry or silver accessories. The barrel is then hand-lacquered and repeatedly polished.The result is a unique and most interesting surface texture. The colored barrels of these writing instruments are made of precious resin with a special Guilloche pattern engraved on them. Manual polishing and lacquering processes then provide the special optical effect. All the metal parts are given a high-quality titanium PVD plating.
